Tristan & Cervantes is proud of the people who make the work we do possible at the firm every day. Some of our behind the scenes heroes assist with the representation of municipal clients in pursuit of the rights of such municipalities in both administrative and state courts. They are a team of three administrative staff that work hard every day to make sure administrative and circuit court hearings run smoothly at both the Cook County Administrative Hearing Department and Circuit Court.
Eric Ortega leads the team and has been with Tristan & Cervantes for close to three years. He assists in preparing the necessary documentation for administrative hearings and attends both administrative hearings and Circuit Court to assist attorneys with the processing of matters.  He also takes calls from respondents to provide them with information to understand why they are required to appear at administrative hearings or Circuit Court and to attempt to resolve the matter on behalf of our client.  He handles communication between our office and the municipal clients and assists with administrative hearings at the Daley Center and Circuit Court. Eric likes to spend his time cooking (he studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago!), watching horror films, and following the latest UFC fights.
Stephanie Madrigal is an assisting coordinator for the team. She assists in the preparation of documentation for citations to be heard at the Circuit Court and assists in preparing for administrative hearings.  She also speaks with respondents who have questions about the documentation that they have received in an attempt to explain what it means and to assist in resolving the matter on behalf of our client.  After the Circuit Court Hearings Stephanie assists in ensuring that all Court Orders are properly processed so that each matter can proceed as necessary. Stephanie would describe herself as a homebody. She loves reading mystery novels and spending time with her family, her boyfriend and her mini schnauzer.
Kimberly Rodriguez is an assisting coordinator for Tristan & Cervantes. She also assists in the preparation of documentation for citations to be heard at the Circuit Court and assists in preparing for administrative hearings. She also assists in taking calls from respondents to inform them of the reason they have received the notice of hearing or citation and in an attempt to resolve the matter on behalf of our client. Kimberly is currently working on earning her Bachelor’s degree in legal studies. In her free time she dedicates her time to taking care of and playing with her super energetic dog, Oliver, and spending time with friends.
