Tristan & Cervantes has been doing employee spotlights the past few weeks to show appreciation for our staff. This week, we’re highlighting Emma and Abigail!
Emma Palizza holds down the fort at the front desk and has been with Tristan & Cervantes for around 5 years. She answers calls that come in to our mainline and greets everyone who walks through our door. She helps direct people to where they need to be if there is a meeting, and makes sure they’re all set with water or coffee. She keeps the kitchen stocked with goodies, keeps the front desk festive, and takes care of our most important deadline; the Peapod order. Emma also helps attorneys with administrative work and projects here and there (she’s a pro at converting PDF to word).
Emma is also an actor and artistic associate of the theatre company Death & Pretzels! She has worked with Steep Theatre, The Gift Theatre, Death & Pretzels, and Ghostlight Ensemble. She’s married to her study abroad romance and they have two cats, Thomas and Roland.
Abigail Watkins does outreach & communications for the firm. She handles social media, marketing, and client outreach for Tristan & Cervantes. You can find her crafting a social media post, updating the website, or putting together an email blast, telling the City of Chicago about the services Tristan & Cervantes provides and the people that make it happen. She plans networking events, industry presentations and human resources trainings for the firm. She also assists with government affairs matters, tracks procurement opportunities, and handles the firm’s lobbying reporting and registration.
Abigail went to the University of Missouri and has experience working in the Non-profit sector. When she’s not in the office, she loves cooking for friends and going to music festivals and concerts.
